Dee Martin, clinical psychologist and founder of Inner Healing Through the Arts, The Creativity Encounter Program, The Gift and Listening with the Heart, has integrated her unique background and training as a psycho-therapist with over 28 years experience to create a new Integrative Healing Method for personal and spiritual development. This method is a culmination of many years of personal exploration and study of diverse philosophical, theological and psychological disciplines.
Ms. Martin has conducted private sessions, group sessions and seminars in both Spanish and English, as well as lectured in New York City, Los Angeles, and Bermuda. She completed two years of undergraduate studies at the University of the City of New York (Baruch) and received her degree as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at the John F. Kennedy University in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her initial background as a Psychotherapist began in Freudian psychoanalysis and expanded to include studies in Transactional Analysis, Gestalt Therapy, Behavior Modification, Voice Dialogue, Rational Emotive Therapy as well as Analytical Psychology. She is also trained and experienced in a variety of alternative therapies such as Reiki, Bioenergetics, reflexology and has extensive studies in spiritual disciplines.
In 1990 she also published a newsletter, The News From Within, which provided a forum for personal growth and creative expression in New York City. In 1992 she went to Bermuda and joined Ashton Associates. In 1995, she began her radio talk show Heart to Heart, which aired for 5 years on ZBM 1340AM. In 1998, she established the psychological discipline called HOME in affiliation with Bermuda Healthcare Services. This holistic, psychological method is designed to nurture and empower individuals to live fulfilling and satisfying lives by guiding them to experience their body, mind, emotions and spirit as One. She is currently conducting private sessions and seminars in Bermuda, Williamstown, Mass. and New York City.
